Would you like a muffin, dear?

With a friendly smile and words of encouragement, Rosanna Bristlebower is a truly bright presence in the shadows, bringing Salish hospitality and a positive outlook with her no matter where she travels.

Raised among her tribe in Victoria, council elders identified her connection to the astral plane early on; she would grow up to be a powerful magician. Her parents, employed by a highly-successful marketing firm, were overjoyed and celebrated the news. They made sure she received the best local education, and even sent her to the tribal state school to develop her budding magical talent.

Joining Horizon the same time her parents’ company was acquired, she found her passion for creating talesma—magical foci, reagents, and other physical aspects of magical studies. Owing to her parents’ successes and her own drive, her career looked increasingly bright. That is, before “the accident”.

She doesn’t talk much about what exactly happened, but she has mentioned that people got hurt, and she maintains a particular dislike for those still employed by Horizon. For a corporation to let a magically-active employee go, the incident must have been bad.

Regardless of what happened, she spent several years of her post-corp career working out of a talismonger shop in Snohomish, helping advise customers on the best purchases to maximize their magical acumen. Eventually she got involved in going out and collecting reagents herself, an often dangerous endeavor requiring skill and expertise.

Being paid to adventure into perilous situations, utilizing academic and practical knowledge, natural instincts, and quick thinking to accomplish the task at hand? Her side-stepping into shadowrunning was a natural progression.

She still dreams of opening a small bakery and cafe though, helping people feel better with her “special blends” and “unique spices” that may or may not have a touch of the mystical in them.
